How To Do The Impossible
On today's date, June 29th, 63 years ago a young man named Charles Dumas became the first person to high jump over 7 feet.
This was a height previously thought to be impossible.
Yet a young man from Compton College laced up his shoes and made that jump.
This would not be a fluke, Charles later went on to win the gold medal at the 1956 Olympic games and the gold medal at the 1959 Pan American Games.
All things are considered impossible until somebody does it.
It was scientifically believed that a human could not run a 4 minute mile until Roger Bannister did it in 1954
In 1968 Bob Beamon broke the world long jump record by almost 2 feet! Not only that his record stood for nearly 50 years!
In 1999 Tony Hawk performed a 900 in the skateboard event at the X Games. Teenagers heads around the world almost literally exploded.
Do It...Do It Do It Do It
The truth is things are only "impossible" until somebody does them. Do you have a goal in mind that you think is impossible? Well go do it.
I obviously don't have the secret for how to do the impossible, that's for you to figure out. Just know, it can be done.
When you achieve your impossible goal, please share it with us :-)
